About the American Hospital Dubai
The American Hospital Dubai is a 144-bed, acute care, general medical/surgical private hospital with a 60 physician multi-specialty group practice, designed to provide a high quality, American standard of healthcare to meet the needs and exceed the expectations of the people of Dubai, the UAE and the surrounding Gulf States. The American Hospital Dubai became the first hospital in the Middle East to be awarded JCI accreditation in May 2000 and successfully underwent further surveys by the JCI in 2003, 2006 and 2009 to maintain its accredited status.
The American Hospital Dubai has expanded to meet the demand for more personalized services, comfort and convenience, while broadening the services and deepening the level of expertise and care offered. In response to the strong increase in local and regional demand for its services, the hospital constructed a new state of the art Outpatient Clinic Building.
In addition to the new facilities and services, the hospital continues its ongoing physician recruitment plan, which will extend the number of American Board Certified or equivalent practicing physicians at the Hospital from 60 to 110 over the next two years.
The hospital’s new bed tower is currently rolling out new facilities and is due to complete before the end of 2010, when it will add an additional 240 beds, transforming the hospital into a 384-bed campus.

Médica Sur is a health care institution that comprises diagnostic, medical attention, research, teaching and community service units. The institution has brought together a select group of medical, nursing, administrative and hospital management professionals who are guided by a strict ethical code and backed up by cutting edge technology thrive to offer medical excellence with human touch.
This project was conceived in 1982 by a group of Mexican physicians and health care professionals. The envisioned a private sector High Specialty Center where academically significant ethical medicine could be practiced while complying with international efficiency standards and being financially sustainable.
Thus, the Médica Sur Group began with a Specialties Tower and basic diagnostic services. It has evolved into a hospital at first, then a High Specialty Center, and finally a group of companies that covers the three levels of medical care:
1- Primary care at its three Medical Care Centers
2- Second level at the Santa Teresa Hospital in the middle of the Mexico City’s metropolitan area
3- High Specialty medical care at its Medical-University Complex on the south side of Mexico City
Médica Sur also offers Holiday Inn & Suites services on-site for the convenience of our patients and their loved ones. The hotel is located within the medical complex and only a passage away from the main Hospital Tower.
