Mr. Evans brings extensive expertise inthe insurance industry, with a focus on the healthcare sector across the US, Latin America, and Europe. His career journey commenced with Equitable Life Assurance Society in New York, where he spearheaded Equitable’s national broker relationships. Transitioning into healthcare, Mr. Evans served as General Manager of Health Network America, anotable joint venture with Compañia Internacional de Seguros, administering thePanama Canal Area Benefit Plan, a US FEHB program. He played a pivotal role in introducing Managed Care into the Republic of Panama, revolutionizing processes through the implementation of Managed Care, including the introduction of ICD and CPT coding.
Following his impactful tenure, Mr. Evansassumed leadership at Internacional de Seguros, where he steered the healthcaredivision, overseeing private insurance for one of Panama’slargest insurance companies. Subsequently, he founded his outsourcing firm catering to esteemed clients such as Swiss Re, Allianz, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island, and Aurora Health. Specializing in claims processing for Medicare, Medicaid, Disability, Workers' Compensation, and other back-office functions, his company delivered exceptional service standards.
In 2017, Mr. Evans joined AXA Partners,reprising responsibility for the Panama Canal Area Benefit Plan, a cornerstone of Panama's private sector. Additionally, within AXA, he contributes toassistance programs in Health and Travel. Mr. Evans currently resides in PanamaCity, Panama, with his wife and three children.
